With a 5-1 decisive victory over Russell Stover the Firebirds were off and running. They were led by strong goaltending by Jack Sampson and solid defensive play by Jono Taylor, Conner Holloway, and Tyler Svendson. In their second game, the Firebirds Goalie Tristan Vanderbur pitched a 3-0 shutout to the St. Louis Rockets earning them a bye in the quarter finals sending them straight to the semi's.

Mites & Squirts: Two 1-hour sessions focusing on the Wrist-Shot, Backhand, and Snap Shot. Tuesdays, October 21st & 28th, both at 7:15pm.  Peewees & Bantams: Three 1-hour sessions focusing on Wrist-Shot/Backhand, Snap Shot & Slap Shot. Tuesdays, November 4th, 11th & 25th, all at 7:15pm.

Sean Whyte originally from Ontario, Canada, started playing hockey when he was 8 years old. Sean’s hockey career consisted of 11 seasons of professional ice hockey and 6 seasons of professional inline hockey.  Success came from hard work and dedication to the game.  Some of his accolades include that his teams won 5 championships and a Gold Medal for Team Canada in the 1988 IIHF World Championship.
