Craig Shermoen
Head Coach
Craig grew up playing hockey in Minneapolis, MN where he was 2 time high school All Conference & All State in 1983.
Played 83-84 season with the St. Paul Vulcans in the USHL that won both league & playoff championships and finished 2nd at Nationals.
* Earned Goaltender of the Year Award in USHL in 1983-84.
* Voted "All Tournament Goalie" in Jr. A National Championship.
* Selected to play on Jr. A All-Star team traveling to Switzerland, and won the Gold Medal for Team USA.
* Received tournament MVP Award in Switzerland.
College:
Played 84-86 at Lake Superior State. Team ranked 6th in nation.
* Awarded "All Tournament Goalie" at Syracuse Invitational Tournament.
Transferred to St. Cloud State for 86-89 & played under legendary Herb Brooks.
* Awarded MVP in 88 Maine-Dexter Classic Tournament.
* Awarded Senior Team MVP at St. Cloud State in 89.

Coach Shermoen has coached 44 players who have advanced to the USHL, NAHL & Division I College level. Of these players, 19 were selected in NHL drafts, including 2 First Round picks.
Craig is now coaching the DYHA '96 team & has extensive experience to draw from in his efforts of making this a successful season for his players.
