Joe Sparks Sr.
U16AA Head Coach
Joe was born and raised in northern Wisconsin where he played youth hockey through High School.
Was selected by the Fargo Sugar Kings, Midwest Junior A Hockey League
Named to the United States World Junior Team
Four year, full scholarship player at Michigan Tech University, where he played for a National Championship Team, and two time NCAA Div.I runner up in four years.
Coaching Experience:
- Current USA Hockey Level III (completing level IV summer 2009)
- Began coaching in Milwaukee, WI after college graduation
- University School Prep Assistant coach, 5 years
- University School Youth Hockey Bantam coach
- Moved to Dallas, TX and coached novice (introduction), Mite Travel, Squirt AA, Pee Wee AA for 8 years
- Head of Coaches for Dallas Junior Hockey

- Helped form Dallas Metro Hockey Association, served as Vice President, then President
