Dan Francis

He is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach with over fourteen years of hockey coaching experience across all levels of play from Mite to Midget U-18.

Dan is currently coaching the Notre Dame High School Hockey Team and has done so for the past four years.

His accomplishments with this team include winning back to back 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 Varsity A Arizona State Championships and the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Championships.

He also has extensive travel level coaching experience as a prior Head Coach for the CAHA Jr. Coyotes Midget AAA and as a four year Defensive Coach for the VOSHA Mustangs during which time they won:

  • The 2005 Bantam AA National Championship (Arizona’s First National title)
  • Were the 2006 Midget U16 AA National Tournament finalists
  • Were recipients of the 2005 Herzog Memorial Sportsmanship Award in Colorado Springs.
He also has won many top tournaments such as Silver Sticks in:
  • 2003
  • 2004
  • 2005
  • 2006

Dan’s playing career includes high school hockey in his native state of NY and Junior hockey as well.

Dan coaching focuses on the fundamentals of hockey first: skating, puck handling, and good “ice sense” as well as the life skills required to succeed.

He has just ended five years as Assistant coach of the CAHA 97’ hockey team.
