Joe has devoted the past 8 years to help developing the youth program at DYHA by coaching and recruiting at all age levels, and is the longest tenured coach for the Firebirds.

Joe was a 3 sport high school athlete (hockey, football, baseball) at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, Mass. He was the Senior Captain of the Varsity hockey team which was a ranked among the top private high schools in New England. He also played for Team Southeast in Massachusetts' 1989 Bay State Games, which was coached by current NHL coach Peter Laviolette.

Youth Hockey Career- Highlight Joe played Tier 1 Travel Hockey from mite through midget and played in the Western N.Y. State championships. He was fortunate enough to play in Lake Placid in 1981, where he helped lead his team to runner-up in N.Y State finals with a hat trick in the Olympic Arena one year removed from the "Miracle on Ice."
